5. How We Protect Your Information
We follow the data-security guidelines of IRS Publication 4557 and the FTC Safeguards Rule under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). Specifically:
We maintain a Written Information Security Plan (WISP).

We use a secure document portal for collecting and storing client documents — please do not email tax documents to us.
Employee access to client information is restricted on a need-to-know basis.
Multi-factor authentication is required on all systems handling client data.
We retain client records for at least three years as required by federal law and dispose of them securely thereafter.
